Light & Optics
With our Light & Optics equipment module, you can engage your students in fantastic hands-on activities that investigate the light spectrum, lenses and mirrors, real and virtual images, constructive and destructive interference, polarization, color theory, and color mixing. Your students will discover critical angle and total internal reflection as it relates to modern technology and fiber optics. The Light & Optics equipment module includes a hardwood, magnetic board that securely holds the magnetized light, laser, lens and mirror components. A sheet of graph paper placed on the optics table provides a simple yet accurate way to trace rays of light. Your students will actually see the light bouncing off mirrors, bending through lenses, diffraction gratings, and prisms. A classroom-safe laser makes reflection and refraction easy to see and clear for your students. They grasp the concepts immediately. Three (red, green, and blue) LED lamps allow a thorough investigation of color and the light spectrum.
