Investigations Manual
The investigations manual is the heart of all CPO Science textbook programs. The Physics A First Course lab manual is comprised of 48 investigations. There are two for every chapter of the student book, introductory and applied. The introductory investigation introduces new concepts and is completed before students read the chapter. The applied investigation reinforces what the students have learned in the chapter and asks them to apply their knowledge to different situations. Extra projects ask students to research, build and use spreadsheets, use the Internet and explain the science behind how things work.
Every activity has a key question, learning objectives, a brief introduction, icons, section titles, numbered steps, and illustrations. Corresponding student activity blackline masters are provided for student answers. All of the diagrams, illustrations and pictures relate directly to the actual equipment your students are using in the lab! This manua l includes set up instructions for all of the lab equipment!
